New Toy
Just brought this home. I am super excited. Haven't had much time with her yet but I'm sure we'll get to be real good friends real soon!
1957 3100 original V8 truck. Currently has a 283 w/ Turbo 350 trans. Aside from that, the 20 inch wheels and a fuel cell under the bed, the truck is pretty much stock. Sorry for the poor quality and low number of photos, I'll post more when I can. Last edited by LDO; 03-26-2011 at 08:40 PM. |

Re: New Toy
Looks great! 57's rock! I've had a 56 Chev, a 53 GMC, and a 50 Chev and I love those 57 grilles. It took me a while to really appreciate that double trapezoid with the teeth, but now I think it's the best. Good Job, ENJOY!

BTW, where does everybody order their parts from? I've got a few catalogs but it's a little overwhelming. I know I'll need some weatherstripping for the doors and some window channels.... |

Re: New Toy
LOL Chuck! Soon! it's one of those things that everything is connected, dropped axle, 5 lug conversion/disk and 17 inch torque thrusts all around. Once you open that can of worms, you are committed!
I may start with some new weatherstrip/felt for the doors. anyone have a particular vendor more recommended than others? |
