Fiberglass aftermarket body panels. Just like the real thing, only smaller and uglier LOL!

I would expect to see more product for this generation of truck coming to market soon.

The 60-66 trucks are seeing a huge resurgence in popularity, and the vendors are paying attention. I know that doesn't help your needs now, but hope is on the horizon.

Can a guy get some 60-63 doors for crying out loud? This stuff is shear nonsense and the stepside fenders are more expensive than repro steel ones... Grr

I'd hate to get that fiberglass itch when I drive my truck.

Re: Gotta see this

On my Pontiac G8 GXP, one dealer said 10 years, another said 30, which I don't believe the 30. I've heard 10 before, but maybe someone else actually knows.

yes, I am not a fan of stuff with gel coat unless its a boat.

I work for a "different" brand dealership selling parts. As far as I know, there is nothing requiring a mfg to keep parts for 10 years. If its a common part, it will be around for a while. If its an oddball part (say, a seat cover for the G8) it could be gone much sooner than that.

Re: Gotta see this

Unless the law has changed the manufacturer is obligated to produce parts for 10 years. Nothing is said about how many. But since the G8 is made down under, I have one, I have no Idea what the law says down there.

I sell parts for a dealer, and I know for a fact there are many parts I cannot get on cars less than 10 years old. These are mostly oddball parts, such as interior plastic, seat covers, ect

If there is any law, it may to do more parts such as seat belts, air bags, and emmissions parts.
