Looking for a budget longtube dual exhaust setup
I need a setup for my 86 350 c1500. My bday is fast approaching
I seen this kit from summit however I'm not sure not sure if I like the exhaust exiting in front of the rear tires.... But for the price this seems like a great kit. Part Summit Racing SUM-CBJJ202 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-CBJJ202/ Last edited by lbrowne; 04-01-2011 at 10:02 AM. |

Re: Anyone order the exhaust system kit from Summit?
I changed the format of my post because it was too specific, my bad. Any help or ideas would be great.
I want a completely bolt on system. Going to a local shop is not an option. (rough estimate was 800-1000 for a dual exhaust setup on my truck LOL) If a moderator could change my title listing to "Looking for a budget longtube dual exhaust setup" I would appreciate it. Re: Anyone order the exhaust system kit from Summit?
Shop a little further. I got my headers and exhaust separate, both from Summit though. My exhaust kit was header back, no mufflers, and exited behind the rear wheels.
I'd link ya, but I had time to go smoke while your link was loading. (dial-up)

Re: Anyone order the exhaust system kit from Summit?
I agree with the shop around and buying them separately because it is around $227 for this combo
Dynomax exhaust with factory style exit http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WLK-89007/ Summit Headers http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G9006/

Re: Anyone order the exhaust system kit from Summit?
I want to make sure that whatever combo I go with, everything is going to bolt up and line up correctly.
I don't want to get a set of long tube headers that won't bolt up to my dual exhaust and still have to make a trip to the shop. Labor is just too expensive here. I know to grab the Collector reducers from 3 inch to 2.25. Also, is it safe to assume that if the listing says Air Conditioning: Yes that I'll be able to retain my AC?
