Re: body mods?
We put some "350" emblems on after paint. Bought them on ebay a while back, not sure what they were off of but looked brand new. For $10 I thought it would be a cool addition.

Re: body mods?
Nothing crazy, just filled the stake holes, shaved the tailgate and a steel roll pan. Thought about Caddy lights but I think I like the stock lights better. I need to weld in the stock gas doors since they lead to nothing, but that will be next go-around.

Re: body mods?
aliright so i decided im probably never going to get around to doing what i was planned on so i thawt i would go ahead and share my idea with you all. i was thinking about takeing a couple tailgates and cutting the GMC or CHEVROLET out as one peice and then putting them in the box sides either right in front of the tail lights or above the body line kinda like the big ten decals were on the big tens.... like this

Re: body mods?
thats pretty neat.
I used to think about making a molded metal or fiberglass form that you could weld or bond onto a fender or trunk, maybe a few different versions. You know those decals that look like a fist or claws tearing through the metal? Well it would be like that only three dimensional. So, if you put it on the trunk it would look like some creature was trying to claw it's way out through the metal.

Re: body mods?
I've also always wanted to get trim pieces for a 50s truck and adapt them to a square. Like those old V8 emblems.

Re: body mods?
On my 80 i removed the drip rails and smoothed out the place for the gas door and going to put the gas door in the bed of the truck. Also welded up the firewall seam, took the master cylinder support brace, removed it, trimmed all the excess junk and powdercoated it and used all chrome bolts to refasten it to the firewall.
thanks pat Gas door mod Firewall mod I was going to use this but the boles were to close n the lights didnt fit, Drip railings removed n smoothed out:

Re: body mods?
The last couple of Squares I have had long enough to paint, I like to shave the cab seam above teh back glass. Using panelbond makes it really easy, too.
