It helps if you tell/show us what kind of seats you have. I have factory buckets in my 73, everything bolted in perfectly, no welding.

Re: Welding bucket seats in help needed

I laid some 1x2 sq tube down that went across the cab just behind and in front of the stock mounting holes then welded tabs to the tubes so I could bolt it down to the cab floor as if it was astock beanch seat. then bolted the bucket seats to the tube frame along with the center cousle that I made. the seats I used where out of an import car so they were low and by adding the inch of the frame I could see over the dash.

Id show you pictures but that truck is long gone and I dont think I took any pictures of the seats or the inside of it

You'll need to make some brackets for the inner mounts if you want to mount them completely independent of each other or build a frame that utilizes the current bench seat holes & has provisions for the inner mounts for your Volvo seats.

Re: Welding bucket seats in help needed

Thank you Pig Rig

You gave me and Idea how to go about it I will have to do a little fabricating
I went to a guy that dose welding ect he told me that it would take him 3-4 hours to weld some in and bolt it down he wanted a 150.00 bucks to do one seat LOL I told him VERY nicely I dont think so for a 150.00 I would duct tape it in first he acted like it was a big deal to do one seat

Thanks everyone for your input I still wish you
guys had some pictures
