foot brake return spring
Hello I have a 1969 c10 step side. I am missing the return spring from my parking brake assembly and was wondering if anyone had a picture of the spring. Thank you

Re: foot brake return spring
The various parts places should have them and a pic.
I think I got a (supposedly) stainless one from inline tube along with a few other ebrake parts for my Camaro. I still had to pull it out and cut it down to make it pull the pedal all the way up... |

The assembly manual doesn't show one for '69 that I can see. LockDoc

Re: foot brake return spring
Here is a picture of the spring. Our local Ace Hardware has springs that will work in their assortment and I am sure other stores have spring assortments.

Re: foot brake return spring
Jim,
Unless I am mistaken I think that spring is for the release handle not the parking brake cable. LockDoc

Re: foot brake return spring
Leon,
That is the only spring that I have seen on the "foot brake assembly". He has a C-10 which has the spring on the cable so I am not sure what he needs. The K-10 has a separate spring to retract the cable. Jim

Re: foot brake return spring
The picture that Jim posted of the spring to the release handle is what I am looking for. Sorry for any confusion

Re: foot brake return spring
Thanks for the clarification!
Hopefully you can find a spring. Even if you have to get a longer one, it can be cut down and rebent. Jim
