'70 Steering Column options
Hey ya'll, new guy here. I did a search but nothing obvious came up. I am just wondering what the steering column options are for my '70 c10. I don't mind buying a new one for a few hundred dollars, but would rather find something a little less. Anyway, the real question is whether or not I could use a steering column out of a later model Chevy truck or if it has to be from a 67-72. What are my options and parameters for this? Thank you

Re: '70 Steering Column options
from Texas
Some guys have installed tilt columns from chevy vans in these trucks, I am not sure of the years that will work but I am sure someone will chime in here pretty quick. Whats wrong with yours?

Re: '70 Steering Column options
The turn signal lever is broken off and so is the gear indicator.

Re: '70 Steering Column options
If that's all that's wrong it would be easier to repair these items than to remove the column and replace it with another
