Roller bearing help
I was going to swap out my roller bearings on my 60 with some 68 hubs
My question / problem is on removing the inner race. It seems to be stuck on the spindle. So should I heat it or take a chisel to it? ANY and I mean ANY help would be great Thanks

Re: Roller bearing help
It's pressed on there. Hopefully someone has an easy method to get them off.

Re: Roller bearing help
It was a pain to take mine out. BFH and had no press. I did it on the axle I have to replace so it was not a big deal. Then I found a site on how to take them out. You drill a hole in it not all the way to the axle then you use a chisel to make a crack in it and slide it out with chisel still in crack. They used a dremel also to cut a grove.

Re: Roller bearing help
The easiest way is to cut or break it so that it will release it's grip on the spindle. I typically use a 4-1/2" grinder, and grind thru one side of it very carefully so as to not damage the spindle. I know not everyone gas a grinder, but that's just an idea for you.
