Building lift for 6 inch lift ?
Alright i want to finally lift my truck 6 inches but im having issues with cash to do it but its really that the lift company rough country doesn't have lifts for 2wd's and thats the lift i wanted. So my buddy just told me i can build the lift and i think im going to do i have shocks so all i need is really coil springs and leaf springs and blocks really.How hard can this be? i could also save money im looking to spend 500 tops if i upmost have to including stabilizer bar total. What do you guys think my suspension is old where the front sags cause of coil springs but no big deal its also a 2wd that i will convert in the comming months to 4wd but not now since im starting to drive i want what i can get.What do you guys think can i do it

converting to 4wd is not always a worthwhile proposition. Lots of work and fabrication. Why spend the money and time lifting this 2wd truck now if you're going to cut it all out anyway? If it were me I would do one of two things: sell the truck and buy a 4wd you like. Or, buy a 4wd rustbucket with a good drivetrain and just swap your body onto it. If your existing truck is nice enough or if you're attached to it enough that you want to keep it.
I'd rather change a cab and bed than make a 2wd into a 4wd. Much easier imo.

I've converted a few of the squares over to 4WD and its not as bad as you would think. The easiest way is to find a donor 4x4. Best bet would be to look around for a 3/4 ton in the mid 70's range. Not running, they can be had for a few hundred bucks. Most of the parts will unbolt and bolt onto you frame with no modifications at all. Lifting will be much easier on a straight axle than on IFS. You can swap crossmembers up front and all the leaf pearches will bolt on. Then you'll just have to change out the steering components. For the time being, just leave out the drive train swap and run it with no front drive shaft, until you have the money to make sure all the parts for the drive train swap in good condition, before you tackle the full conversion.
I would say that if you found a donor truck for the right price and swapped the front suspension and crossmemember, you could do a superlift 6" front spring and 6" rear block set up and still get out for under $800 total. Then you just have to prepare for the rest of the swap.

you can lift the back by switching the 2wd spring hangers to the 4wd ones that should be 3 to 4 inches and then do a shackle flip for more lift.
