Coolant temp sensor resistance?

I need a favor from some one if i could. I would like to see what the resistance is on a coolant temp sensor at about 75 degress. I am trying to get one for my EZ EFI kit that i dont have to use adapter for. The connector on my harness looks just like the factory ls connector. The kit uses all gm sensors so i am assuming they will be the same but i just want to make sure. Thanks.

Re: Coolant temp sensor resistance?

2.56K ohms at 81deg. I hope someone will verify this as I had a hard time getting a good reading.

Re: Coolant temp sensor resistance?

Here is a graph of the current OE GM sensor resistance and the old one from the 60-66 trucks. Take care that the ohms are on a log scale. Looks like it is right at 2600 ohms at 81 deg. Looks like 75 deg. would be about 2800 ohms.
(2724 ohms according to the curve fit but it is a bit low at that end).

Re: Coolant temp sensor resistance?

As it turns out the sensor they sent with the efi kit has exact same resistance as the factory lq4 sensor. Thanks for the info. Have it installed and it plugs in to my harness. So hope to have everything else on maybe next weekend or one after that.
