I was thinking about the rear seat in my blazer whick when i think almost always gets me in trouble or costs me money. Any way i want to make rear seat either fold forward on hinges or maybe have latches to floor so i can remove it easily any one done this? Pictures maybe or ideas thanks guys for all your help

Look at the back seats in fullsize bronco's and later chevy blazers. I've got a seat that's a quick latch in the middle with two pins on the outside. Takes a few seconds to pull it out. Heavy though but worth the ease of removal for the amount of hauling I do.

So my truck was ordered without the rear seat. Later Dad built a framework that a factory seat mounts to. That framework has tabs that dop over the eyelets he bolted to the floor. At the rear eyelet, after the seat frame's tabs are over the eyelet, add-a-link chain links with the seat belts looped through them goes through the eyelets. This both holds the seat belts firmly to the floor, and also doesnt allow the seat to come up off the eyelets. My only gripe is that even though it just takes a minute or so to yank the back seat, it leaves the truck with these ~1.25" tall eyelets that catch and snag everything. When camping its ok, the airmattress seems to be unaffected.

Sorry, no pic of the seat in-I'll take one if you think that'll make more sense.

Check with hotrodhomi. I'm pretty sure that his rear seat does both of these. His rear is out of a newer ride though.

I think it's Kevsclassics that does as well.

funny, I was thinking i wanted to try and make my rear seat fold also. Its gonna be a future project because i have too much on the fire now.

So i went to the wrecking yard today and found brackets from the lower part of 1991 suburban and i think they will work for me just need to weld or bolt seat to brackets. Should be same height and will latch at back and pivot in front. Will post pics when done. Cheap too cost me 10 bucks for brackets
