94 s-10 grille options
picked up a 94 s-10 but really don't like the sunk in headlights...is there any grilles from newer s-10's that are direct bolt ins to replace this?

You could use the Blazer grille with composite lights from '95-'97. I always liked that look. Or maybe a phantom grille to hide your sealed beams... |

Re: 94 s-10 grille options
If I had a second-gen S10 or S15/Sonoma, I'd want to go with an Envoy front end with a billet insert. I always liked the Envoys because they're factory HIDs.

Re: 94 s-10 grille options
Good luck finding envoy hid's for cheap. Blazer grilles with composite lights bolt in. You do have to alter the headlight wiring to allow for the 2 separate bulbs per side. A 98 and later grille/headlamp setup works too but you need swap headlights, turn signals , grille and alter the wiring too.

Re: 94 s-10 grille options
I never said they'd be cheap. The Envoy itself was uncommon enough. This many years later, I'm sure the headlights would be extremely hard to come by and far from cheap, not to mention the difficulty in finding a set that's actually still in decent shape.

The look I like best is going for a body colored blazer grille with euro (clear) composite blazer housings.

Leroy-B1 asked a question and I just threw out different options and ideas for him. That's ALL the Envoy HID thing was...just an option for Leroy, or anyone else, to see and maybe even consider. Nobody is holding a gun to their head and telling them to do it. So, now, just so we're all on the same page here... Envoy HIDs: NOT cheap. Envoy HIDs: NOT common. Ok, class. We can move along now. |
