64 c20 carb help

Hey guys, I am trying to get the truck running so I pulled the carb. I was cleaning it and i noticed the red piece on the ground. Go figure I do not know where it came from and was hoping some of you would know. The truck is a 64 c20 camper special inline 6. Also, anyone rebuilt one of these and know a good link for a kit.

Thanks guys.

Re: 64 c20 carb help

Its been awhile but I think that has to do with the idle vent. It would have a threaded hole in it. There would be a hole in the cover over the fuel bowl. A screw with a big head goes in the top of the hole & screws into this piece. When the throttle closes part of the accel. pump bracket kicks the vent open. Someone correct me if i'm wrong.

Thumbs up Re: 64 c20 carb help

Well I ended up assuming that it went to that big screw you were talking about because there is a place for it to slide into. I actually got it running today so you were correct my friend. Thanks for the help
