help with speedo cable options

So heres the issue I have. I ahve a 77 C10 with factory cruise so I have the two piece speedo cable. I am wanting to ditch the cruise box from my inner fender and do a one piece. Does anyone know what year i need to buy the cable from? i tried going to autozone and they could only pull up the two piece cable for my truck. Thanks

Try a different parts store, there has to be a smarter person available to sell you the 1 piece cable.

Re: help with speedo cable options

I'm about to do the same thing on my 79 K5. It had the cruise stuff but was missing the lower speedo cable when I bought it. I have already removed the cruise junk and will replace the cables with a 1 piece. O'Reillys and Advanced both show to have one in stock for it though, was never an issue when I was researching them. The one for my truck is only like $10 locally.
