48 GMC Burb 96 vett LT 1 swap

Looking at putting 96 vett drivetrain in my 48 , it has a 350 crate & 700r4 TX now. How hard of a swap is that ? I've been wrenching on toys for a while but not made the leap to EFI. I look forward to all input.

Re: 48 GMC Burb 96 vett LT 1 swap

I put a 95 Vette Lt1 into my 48 truck. I went with Howell Engine development for the wiring harness and computer flash. I also used Street and performance for the engine brackets. Overall once you have a basic understanding it is not to bad, bit then again I choose to spend the money on an aftermarket harness to make it easier.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Good luck
Marc

My truck uses a modified G-body frame. It had a 305 with a turbo 350 trans, so there was not much different that I needed to do besides modify the trans mount slightly.

My truck is a 12 year endeavor. I have a Photobucket page with over 200 -pics. The login info is below my profile picture.
