Head light warning buzzer

Has anyone intsalled one of these. I use my headlights all the time. During the day I have a habit of leaving them turned on. Has anyone hacked one from a newer car and installed in our trucks?

I got one from wall mart that just plugs into the fuse box. Run one wire under the fuse for the dash lights, and the other to a switched fuse, like the heater.
A couple bucks and simple to install.

They sell kits to turn the lights on and off automatically, just like newer cars. Did you have your truck out at Pony Corral last year? I turned off the lights for someone that left them on :p

For a buzzer or for auto on? For a buzzer Im sure that you could probably hook up some regular buzzer somehow to make it work maybe???? Try doing a search on the net for wiring diagrams to do it. If you want auto on you need the DRL module and a photo eye from a junker. Or maybe even check out CT or Princess Auto to see if they sell kits for the auto on or buzzer.

I, like longhornmail, got one at wallymart mabe 6 years ago. It's just a wee buzzer & the connectors to plug into your fuse block - it had connectors for either tube or blade type fuses. It works gr8 & was cheap.

I think it is less than 6 bucks, and you don't have to figure anything out,....just read the package.

I went to Radio Shack and picked up a cheap buzzer for a few bucks. Then just spliced the hot side of the buzzer into the headlight wiring and the ground into the door pin switch. That way the buzzer goes off when I open the door with the lights on. About 5 mins and a couple bucks.
