need some help
I have a frame and drive tran from a 1981 chevy half ton short box, all restored and i would like to put a 1950 to 1958 chevy truck body on it, I was hoping for suggstions of what body to find ? I have mint step side box and I think all I need is a cab and front clip.

Welcome to the board.
What year bed do you have? They are different for the years you posted, 50 to 55.1, 55.2 to 58. IMHO the later years would fit your donor frame better. Kim |

This is a cool site, I thin it will help me alot with this project. The box I have is from a 1982 chevy short box step side. It should bolt to the frame.

That box should work fine for the 55 to 59 trucks. You will need the fenders from those years. I'm not sure what the differences are with the pre 55 boxes.
