My new toy.
Bought this 1958 GMC a couple weeks ago off of a guy who had kept it after selling off his dad's farm. He said it never spent a night outside, they used it for hauling fuel to their equipment. It is in amazing shape, hardly any rust even the window rubbers are perfect also no sun damage on the glass but the windsheild is cracked (already ordered one). I'm thinking of putting a 6.2 out of a denali if I can find one or maybe a 5.3.

Re: My new toy.
I will keep you posted but this one is second in line I have my 71 torn apart and doing a frame up on that first but can't wait to start on this one already ordered some parts. I really love the look of this truck.

Re: My new toy.
Wow that is super nice.
I hope you realise how lucky you are to have a truck with front signal lights. Those are not reproduced and NOS on eBay are going for over a $1000 a set. Again, WOW...... Is it currently a 235 I6?

Re: My new toy.
ya it is a 235, I didn't realize about the signals until I went to a car show the other day and a guy told me that, he said he bid on a set on ebay and stopped at $400.

Re: My new toy.
It had steel wheels I just put those on because I had them laying around and wanted the old bias ply lugs off haha. It will be driven as is for a couple years till I get the 71 done, I also have a 38 2 door sedan ripped apart that may or may not slip in front of this one.

Re: My new toy.
There was a real nice 59 GMC in Saskatoon at Super Run in 2008. I ended up parking with the guy and chatting. Nice guy, real nice truck. He said he paid $1300 for an NOS complete set of front signal lights on eBay. His truck still has the 235 in it but with major work on it.
