crossmember removal
What's the best way to remove the rivets holding this crossmember? There is one on each side. I've got an electric power chisel I can try. Yesterday I drilled through one of them but it didn't do much more than make a hole. I've got to get this out of the way for my fuel cell.

Oxy torch, plasma torch or an air hammer or a cut off wheel as a last resort.

A blue-tipped wrench right through the center or a side grinder to grind the head off.

I've removed rivets with a die grinder several times. That's your best bet probably if you don't have access to a torch.

I ground the heads of mine off and popped out the rivets with a chisel and hammer.

I took my Oxy/Acy torch and heated up the ends of the rivets and had my friend hit the thing with a hammer..voila, took about 2 minutes and it was off!
