Replacing Wheel Stud for 12 Bolt
Hey guys, need some help here. I need to replace one wheel stud on each axle. They were missing when I bought the truck. I'm assuming I need to pull the axle's out and have new studs pressed in? How do I go about pulling the axle's? Should I replace seals or anything else while i'm there?
Not sure if it has posi or not, how would I know when looking in the housing?

I have always just drawn them in with a lug nut.

One more tip would be to throw a couple greased up washers between the nut and the axle flange, it will make it easier as well as reduce the risk of spinning the stud in the flange and wrecking the pressure fit that keeps them in.

I usually put a not on the stud that is large enough to slide on without touching the threads. This prevents the lug nut from biting in to the axle flange. A light coat of anti-seize will help prevent friction while seating the stud.
