Great find. That is a nice looking truck. If you would put a power brake booster on it I'm sure that would help the braking part. Pretty easy to do. LockDoc

Re: new to the site.. new to the 67 chevy world! CHECK OUT MY 67!
Nice truck, good deal. Just fix the brakes and they'll stop the truck. Power brakes work even better. Drum brakes aren't as bad as some believe. That semi on your tail is running them

Re: new to the site.. new to the 67 chevy world! CHECK OUT MY 67!
FOR THE BRAKES YOU CAN PROBABLY JUST GO TO YOUR LOCAL AUTO PARTS STORE. If you have drums up front its pretty common to swap to disk.. Folks say theyre better stoppin.. but either way.. for th e bullin part. just redo the brakes and blush out your lines.

Re: new to the site.. new to the 67 chevy world! CHECK OUT MY 67!
1600 bucks ya done good. I just added a power booster to my 67 burb with factory drums. The difference is night and day from manual. You can use a later model booster ie 73-87 if you want a more compact unit than factory. Just lenghthen the pushrod by about an inch. Try adjusting the brakes if one side is pulling. If all else fails you might consider a full brake job on the front and back with new wheel cylinders and turn the drums if needed.

Re: new to the site.. new to the 67 chevy world! CHECK OUT MY 67!
I saw that truck on CL! Good score! JORGIE95961 is right about your blinkers. You need the bulbs and ground straps for the blinkers to work right. There are a few guys on this board that live out in falcon, they may be very helpful for the parts that you cant get at the parts store, like the interior...

Re: new to the site.. new to the 67 chevy world! CHECK OUT MY 67!
Welcome. Looks like a good deal.
One step/issue at a time and you'll be good to go. I'd solve the safety issues first like braking, lighting... This is a great place to find answers/help. . . . |
