5 x 4 3/4 Wheels on a '72 C10?

I want to run a set of 5 x 4/3" Camaro Z-28 steel wheels on my '72 C10 with factory 5 x 5" wheel and Power disc/drum brakes. I have read threads where some recommended re-drilling the front discs for the car pattern. Would the same apply for the rear axles (and drums)? I have a concern of weaking the parts by this method. Has anyone done a conversion using GM or aftermarket parts to change out the bolt pattern? Thanks in advance. bg

Like you mentioned, some front 5x5 pattern rotors can be re-drilled & have the hub snount machined down slightly. Moser Engineering can make correct length axles for your truck rear end that have the car lug & hub dimensions.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Are there any front discs with the 5 x 4 3/4 pattern that will bolt on a '72 c10 rather than drilling them?

Light duty 1" rotor spindles? Yes.
HD 1.25" rotor spindles, no.

Problem is, you'll spend more money swapping over to the 1" spindle than you would just getting the rotors re-drilled (lt duty brakes require different spindles, rotors, & calipers).
