Re: Ordering Carpet, who has the most success on here?
I used Auto-Interiors.com for my K5 carpet. Its ACC and I was very pleased with the price and quality.

i used stock interiors for 115.00 w/o mass backing . came out great. i've only had it for about 15-20 days , but i'm happy with the results.

Re: Ordering Carpet, who has the most success on here?
I always get the mass backing.....its a little more expensive, but it sure helps with heat, cold, and road noise. I am probably over-kill on this, but my next project will me as follows.
Clean the floor Apply bed liner to floor Put down a layer of "Quick-roof" (Its a Lowe's) THen carpet with mass backing. I cant stand road noise or engine heat in the cab. Posted via Mobile Device

Bringing this one back from the depths, I'm actually looking to order carpet here in the next day or so.
Rockauto has good prices on molded w/ mass backing ACC carpet, but summit has a brand called Nifty as well. Anyone try the Nifty brand? Or just stick with ACC... |

ACC is a quality product. Mine has been in for nearly 3 years and still has a new look to it.

Do all the ACC carpets come with the mass backing? The Rockauto listing they have for my truck (crew cab) doesn't say weather or not it has the mass backing. They have great prices on these carpets and I am planning on ordering one in the coming weeks. |

I've used Stock Interiors carpet in three of my projects. Very good quality and good delivery / prices. I'm using it again on this truck I'm finishing now too. Will use them on my 68 Firebird this winter as well.

Re: Ordering Carpet, who has the most success on here?
I've seen that webpage too but selecting their lowest grade carpet (plush) along with mass backing and then shipping, it's quite a bit more expensive to get it to me... (I'm in Canada)

Re: Ordering Carpet, who has the most success on here?
I ordered mine from stockinteriors.com and was very happy with customer service. The first one they sent me had the black mass backing in the carpet fibers where it was folded for shipping before it had cured. They had me a new one on the way the next day no questions asked. I would order from them again.
This is the only good pic I have of the carpet: |

Re: Ordering Carpet, who has the most success on here?
Looks like rockauto also carries an ACC door panel with matching carpet on there...
My truck is red and black, I converted most of the interior to black and red (still some stock maroon peices in there) Should I go with Black or Ebony I wonder. I'm thinking black would be sick, but a pain to keep clean. They also make a carpet door panel - must be the lower part. With the vents too. |

There's part number on there that when you cross reference it to ACC, it shows up as a 2 piece carpet kit. Not sure what that means, but I think I'll be ordering that one. It doesn't indicate 2 piece on the rockauto page though. Just the part number matches up. edit: nevermind I'm an idiot Last edited by lbrowne; 05-29-2012 at 08:36 PM. |

just got mine from www.stockinteriors.com last week
2dr pickups are one piece carpets, only blazers/burbs and maybe crews are 2 piece

I've had my carpet in my truck for over a year and it still looks brand new. I would highly suggest the mass backing to anyone looking to get carpet; I could tell a huge difference in sound once I swapped from a rubber floor mat to to the carpet. Stockinteriors also can make floor mats in whatever color you choose to match the carpet kit. |

Re: Ordering Carpet, who has the most success on here?
Usually they don't. I ordered the one in my '74 from stockinteriors.com, and it is a $55 option. Totally worth it, IMO.

varkmotors.com usually has great prices too. Last time i checked, they had free shipping and it was the cheapest i could find for my 87 reg cab.

Re: Ordering Carpet, who has the most success on here?
ACC carpet with mass backing on it's way.
Then after that it's my bench and just few more pieces (kick panels and seat belt assemblies) to complete my interior conversion to red/black from red/maroon. |
