Well, we have to realize that this site is open to EVERYONE. To keep the respect and dignity of this site, I say give 'em the boot. We dont need somebody on here that can only think of ways to screw us. For some, selling parts is the bread and butter of their buisness, having someone like that on this board can only hurt internet sales for these people. For others, its a way of finding that one part to finish a project. Let democracy decide, you now have my 2 cents. ( And I will now step down off of my soap box)

i dont think this post in it self is bad maybe one of the options in the poll...but it seems that a group of member have found a dead-end with one member. it has been show that this member in question has given bad info on products he has sold. to these members he is a risk to others on the board and future members. i think it is up to the admins to do what is in there best intrest for the board. members who have had bad dealing with this member should send a PM or email to a admin to update of this situation.

I have not done dealing with this member in question. IMO he should be banned from the parts board for a time period. then it bye bye if he does ti agian to another member. I dont feel he should be banned from the board in all he has done nothing wrong in the information board or general board. that my thoughts.

Maybe a sub directory in the parts board about dealing with other members?

Food for thought...Why not pick an upcoming day and all of us can email him saying how dissapointed we are in his business ethics. Then tell our friend James we will be watching for any future ebay auctions and at that time we will warn the bidders of his parts about his approach to business . Just food for thought. :p

I'll tell you one thing without getting into the veracity of people's claims against him:

Any dealer who has the opinions that he's voiced about his customers will NEVER get my business. I'd rather pay twice the money, if neccesary, to support a good businessman than save a few bucks and support a James. I do this all the time. Ultimately the PRICE of something is not the most important matter.

He damned himself with his own mouth.

well, the only problem with 70cst's ideal is that ebay is against that. http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/...erference.html shows on the first paragraph that the user that sent the email can and will be in violation of ebay policy. while it is a good idea and i agree that we should warn people about james and texparts, i don't think that it is worth risking your own hide in the process. like bpmgee said, he damned himself with his own mouth

People like this are why I will not buy off of the net and ebay. I feel that I am an honorable person and keep my word. If I say something then that means that it must be the truth as best I can tell. People that blatently do wrong, as it appears this person does, are just flat out criminals and should be prosecuted as such. Unfortunatly our laws are not very supportive about cases like this involving small dollar amounts, but should because as a whole it adds up. I will gladly get myself banned from ebay in order to help stop this person from ripping people off.

hmmm... I think I broke the soap box.

PASS ME THE SOAPBOX, please

I've been thinking 'bout this for a while, and it took me several
minutes before I could cast my vote.
Here's why.
It would appear that until James staggered into this deal,
Bo was looked upon as an OK guy to deal with.
Am I right?
It concerns me that all the negative press, and feedback will
be viewed as a reflection on him as well. Rather than waste time
and energy on posts and feedback, etc., how about a "straight
to the point" formal letter (NOT E-mail) to BO outlining the problem.

I would venture to say, James is used to selling quite a bit of
his parts "one on one" in person. Probably walk-ins and swap
meets. There, people will pay according to what they can see.
Looks to me like James has adopted the same approach as the
used car dealers. That being, sell the good stuff locally, and send
the crap out of the country. (sell it out of state, online, where all
you have to deal with is an occasional nasty E-mail)
I, for one, have a BIG PROBLEM with being viewed as "some online IDIOT, that he can dump his "BEATER QUALITY" parts on!!

On another note, if BO took this guy on as a "partner" because
of his big supply of parts, maybe Bo really needs to take another
yard tour!! I have literally TONS of parts, and a back row of trucks
that spans my entire property, but that doesn't mean they are all
"EXCELLENT" parts!! Or would I dare represent them as such!
You have to turn over alot of rocks(trucks) to find the good stuff!
If Bo really needs a "partner" to keep things afloat, then maybe
some well established parts source or other vender might offer
up a CO-OP type arrangement. We all know how well "Texas rust-free parts" dist. make out in the north/east. Just a thought.

If, as James has stated, "this board makes up only a fraction of
my sales", then he won't miss us any more than we will miss him!!
Just my opinion.

Mike

I for one think this James bashing should have run its course, there is enough negative things in the world today. Personally I frequent to board for informative information, to share happy events concerning my favorite hobby these old trucks and to maybe encourage and help others with my somewhat limited knowledge. It would appear that some board members have purchased items that may have been misrepresented as to there quality and condition or may be just outright lied to, however in my own personal opinion "I believe its time to move on" to better and more worthwhile things.I am in no way associated with James but if this kinda of negative blitz screen continues I believe it will turn a lot of people off. Fearing that they too may be ganged up on, for unjust reasons. Don't get me wrong if James did what everyone says he did, then he deserves whatever wrong may come his way. We all have had bad deals at one time or another and Im quite sure most of us have did what we could to try to seek justice by some form or another, But I think its time to move on....and that's my .02 cents worth...

Chev,

While I can appreciate your opinion, I find that being informed about unscrupulous vendors is both informative and worthwhile to me.

In addition, the post that James put up has been deleted by the moderators as being inappropriate. If that doesn't give you some indication of what he's been saying, then let me just paraphrase him:

"I don't care what you <expletives> on the forum think, I don't need your <expletive> money. Go to <expletive>.

Personally, I'm surprised there aren't people flaming him. This group seems remarkable mature.

Just IMHO, of course,

Brian

Well Chev Man, wouldn't you like to be informed about someone if you were to do future business with him. You could be searching on Ebay and say, that looks like a good deal. Buy the part and it not be anything it was described as. Well had you read a post like this warning of his unscrupulous behavior then you'd be more proned to remember his name and not do business. I think we need to inform everyone how this man does business and let everyone make their own opinions about him. I personally have made up mine and have not done any business with him. I TRUST THIS BOARD. So the thoughts and opinions about the dirty things he does by other fellow board members carry a lot of weight. That's my little speech. Thank you.!

BPMCGEE, You forgot to say that James/Texparts/Lone Oak TX, said in his post that the board can kiss his (incert beep here). He called us all a bunch of babies that don't know (incert beep again).

I want to say, no matter what a lowsey, low down, no good, cheating, stealing, lying, drunkin, dope head, spineless bastard James is, it is a shame that BO has to put up with him.

Is this a great board, or what? I love this. (Not the James thing, rather all of the different veiws concerning this matter)It seems as though we have hit a very sore spot. That spot being the fact that we dont like being ripped off or lied to. I have mixed emotions about this, I never have nor will do buisness with James, however these posts are the key factor why I wont. We all have to ask ourselves one thing, are we being fair to ask the admin. to ban him, or are we just sore that some of us got ripped off? Makes for very interesting conversation, dont you think? Ok, now I will pass around the soap box once again.
