Lowering spring question
I've got a set of Eibach 2" lowering springs on the front of my 68 but would like to lower the truck another 1/2-3/4". How much do I cut off to accomplish this? TIA.

Re: Lowering spring question
I think that is for a stock spring. Do you know if that equates to the same thing on a dropped spring?

Re: Lowering spring question
I would call Eibach and ask them if the spring rate is the same as OEM. If it is, a full coil cut will yield approx. a 2" drop. Have you had a chance to compare them to OEM springs? If they are the same height, the rate would be different, and you would be "guessing" on how much to cut. If they are shorter than OEM, I would think the rate is the same, and you could cut the same amount as OEM.

Re: Lowering spring question
Trim carefully.
1/2 coil is normally 1" of drop. Cut 1/4 coil and see where you are at.

Re: Lowering spring question
I just put it down on all fours to see how it would sit. I still have to finish installing my PB front shock brackets and will make sure then.

Re: Lowering spring question
I think I've got everything "clocked" correctly. Looks like I gained (or lost,) about a .25". I'm going to drive it for a while and see if it changes. I'm may have to cut another 1/4 to 1/2 round out to get it where I want it. Final height TBD!!!
