Went to Menards today to pick up some lumber for a project. Within 30 minutes two seperate guys driving by in the parking lot shouted "Nice truck!" to me out their windows.

My teenage daughter was riding with me. Of course she took credit for all the attention!

my 67 doent run but when im wth my friend in his 72 we get alot of thumbs up... oh wait we gve alot of thumbs up, anyways they say nice paint or cool car(which irritates me a little because it aint no honda civic its a 4wd 72 chevy shortbed fleetside pickup truck!)

None, but the lady across the street said " I hope that isn't a part of your car" as I was pressure washing my frame in the driveway. She said I was very talented if I could put it back together myself, and I said, 'Nah, it's just a big puzzle like a Rubik's cube." Only problem is, I never finished one of those either!

Took Big Yellow out for the first time this year and got 4 in the grocery store parking lot and one at the light between the house and the store. Of course it could've been the 3x5 flag flying in the back too... Oh well! Wrong year for this section but I'll sneek you guys a pic anyways....

This is kind of funny and 100% accurate. I am always getting complements and the thumbs up from homeless guys!!! I don't know if it's because they were around back then or what but it is hilarious when a guy will free up one hand from the sign to give me the "cool" symbol when I'm going down the road.

My 13 year old son and I get pulled over from time to time from the police in different towns nearby. They like the truck or know someone with one and want to know whats under the hood...No badges on the GMC and when they hear its a stock BB they go nuts....

I get 2-3 complements and comments every day.A lot of the complements are from women.About 2 weeks ago while pulling into a burger joint for lunch,a very attractive women was leaving and waited for me to get out to say"Thats one hell of a truck ....take care of it".Makes you feel good

I drove mine yesterday about 120 milles from way north to way south in miami picking up a new cars bed for my son, went and bought him a new mattress also so I had several thumbs up including one guy that almost stopped me so he could take pictures I only slowed down to about idle as we were in a big intersection....lol

He is obsessed with 67's, half of his post most likely contain the numbers 67

And I agree, I love em all, not much difference in the years without really looking as long as they are short fleets!!!

And I can't take my truck anywhere without getting asked what year is it? how much did that paint job cost?

And then usually have 2 or 3 people asking how much I want for it. I usually just say not for sale and go about my business, but sometimes when I'm feeling frisky, I'll spout out 15k(not crazy far off) or some sort and that usually stops the convo there.

It just adds to the pleasure of driving the old truck though!!!!
