4wd blazer lift?
I just picked up my first squarebody. an 84 blazer silverado in great shape. Ive been told the factory front suspension is pretty soft. (2 springs curved opposite the rear springs.) at the upull it I found and pulled a set of rough country springs that was mounted to a blazer that had a 3/4 ton mod done. theyre 4 curved the right way. can any of you tell me if this is a 2 or a 3 inch lift to the front end?

It will ride like a haywagon with a rough country lift. Plain and simple. I considered Rough Country for my burb lift, and after reading so many reviews that stated the same thing, i chose a different route. i shackle flipped the rear, giving me 4" of lift. And went with ez ride springs up front. On 35" tires, my burb actually rides pretty dang good now. I did have to do some fender trimming to keep the rubbing to a minimum. but that's another thread.
My advice, unless you just want something to go play in the mud with, find something other than rough country springs for it.

It's hard to tell how much lift a spring is just looking at them,or even measuring to the center from a straight line drawn between the spring eyes. They settle differently. But,Rough Countrys will settle less than some. With newer approaches to spring building being directed at a softer ride/more flex,I hear how awful springs like Rough Countrys ride from about everyone. It's funny,cuz we were all so happy to have a lift I guess we didn't know how awful our trucks rode. I've run Burbank Spring,Rough Country,Superlift,Rancho,and even had spring shops build up springs to lift a truck. Actually,my first lift was breaking down the spring packs and hammering out the desired arch on an anvil with the original springs. I never complained about any and actually love the ride. To me it all goes together...a pounce in the ride,the hum/howl of big lug tires,and the roar of the pipes going down the road. To me that was what driving a 4wd was all about. I always figured those who wanted a smooth ride on the road bought cars. But,things have changed since the mainstream drives 4wds now and magazines are about pushing advertiser's products on high dollar project rigs.

I've been reading up on rough country and im thinking I shouldn't have got them. if they're rc. easy rides will it say on the spring?

tuff country ez rides are best, thats what I have on mine after wasting money on RC leafs on previous Jimmy

I can show you pictures,or go to www.suspensionconnection.com . They only have stickers,no stamping. They are kinda flat in the middle,not a continuous arch.

mine are kinda flat in the middle with Yellow neo bushings. theyre not stamped but painted with stencils it looks like. "rough country" made in j.... couldnt read the rest
