The '68 is back to being my daily driver. Seems I blew the engine on my jeep comanche over the weekend so the chevrolet is back to being my daily driver...as it should be ! I switched over to 4.57 gearing from 5.14's and I think it made it a bunch more driveable and I'm still getting 10 mpg so I can't complain that much. The locker even seems to be a bit smoother with this gearing.

BTW thanks WES for the driveshaft !
