DBW components

I have a 2004 6.0 that has the DBW TB and complete engine harness. I am really considering keeping the DBW instead of the DBC set-up. I have read some of the threads here and it looks like I need the TAC and Gas pedal from the same year as the computer correct? I didn't get the computer with the motor so do I need to look for a 2004 computer as well? Where is the TAC located?

Re: DBW components

TAC is on the drivers side of the firewall.

If you have a DBW engine harness, there should be a plug that goes to the TAC in there somwhere... most of those wires go up to the throttle body.

From the TAC, make sure you get the cable that goes through the firewall, and get the pedal too.

That would be correct. Do you have a PCM? If you do, then just get a TAC and pedal that is the same year.

Re: DBW components

I have everything to do DBC but only the harness and TB that came with the motor for DBW.

Re: DBW components

then you need to get a computer, pedal assembly and tac that match the year of the motor (tb)

Re: DBW components

Throttle bodies are the same from.'30 until '07 in Gen3 engines. Just make sure what ever PCM you get that you get a.matching TAC and pedal. '
