I'm baaaack!
I recently got bitten by the square body bug again after selling my 78 stepper in March of 2009. I closed the deal yesterday on my new truck - an 85 GMC 2WD SWB. I'll be daily driving this one too, and thankfully it's in a lot better shape than my 78 was.
On to the pics: All pics are by the PO. I don't have it registered or anything yet, so I probably won't be driving it around much for a week or two.

Re: I'm baaaack!
Thanks! Happy to be back.
I hope it turns out to be clean running too. It's got a bit of smoke on startup, but it goes away after a few seconds. |

Re: I'm baaaack!
Thanks fellas.
Gerardo, the interior is surprisingly decent now, but it needs a new dash pad big time. The cover that's on it now fits really bad. The door panel on the driver's side is fairly scuffed up too. I don't remember if I ever told you this last time, but your old geocities site was the first one I ever found once I started looking around for 73-87 sites way back when... |

Re: I'm baaaack!
He didn't ruin it. He improved it by dropping it, putting on a set of 20's , and enjoyed it the way HE wanted it.

Re: I'm baaaack!
Whoa, wasn't expecting this thread to come back up. Still rolling it. It's my daily driver. I did swap a sport bumper on the back, but haven't done anything else to it but drive it.

Re: I'm baaaack!
A few of the junkyard bumper swap. Hardest part was getting the old bumper bolts out of the sport bumper. Ended up having to cut them with a dremel.
