71 brakes

fixed the rear line and installed a new rear rubber line,
nose on stands after hour with bleeder open still no fluid.
did the pummp um hold um, and got fluid.
but still get nothing grav. bleeding..
Ideas, so when I'm able I can button this up

Sounds like the master cylinder may have got air, bench bleed it and see if you have good flow out of it. Also check to see it is leaking out the back inside the cab...

in the factory service manual it tells how to set the proportioning valve pin so you can properly bleed brakes

I was just going start another thread, But I'll tag with this one. WTF!
I have replaced almost everything and added a large vacuum pump and canister (to build 20" of vacuum) and the brakes are just fair. Not good for steep Mtn 4x4 trails. The only two things left on my truck that haven't been replaced are the booster and the PV. What kind of adjustment can be done for the PV? My pedal is stiff, hard and short travel, there isn't any mush; indicating any air.

Cliff, can you jpeg (or something) and post those pages? I'm really curious. I want to get a trailer, but I won't until I have the brakes at top performance.
