16.5 x 9.75 steel wheel find: Dodge? Fit my K20?
Dropped by a small town tire shop and found a set of 16.5 x 9.75 steel wheels (sorry no pics). These were painted but one outer rim had what appeared to be a Chrysler stamp and all had hub cap nubs directed outward. I'd use these on my K20 with SS dog dish caps if they'll fit. The shop owner thought the center hole was different Chrysler vs GM but I thought these were the same across 3/4 ton trucks.
Surface rust was present on the bead surface. He wants $75 for the set of 4. My K20 isn't drivable yet so can't test fitment prior to purchase. Are these in fact Kelsy-Hayes rims and should they fit? Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Pete

Re: 16.5 x 9.75 steel wheel find: Dodge? Fit my K20?
I have Dodge 16 x 6 rims on my K-20. I had no problem with the center rim dia. on my truck, both front and rear hubs were fine. Measure the dia. of your hub with a pocket tape and then run back down were the rims are and compare it to the dia. of the rim.
The 8 bolt pattern will fit. |

^^ What he said..... 8x6.5 lug pattern is standard (except for newer Fords). If anything, the Dodge had larger diameter axle stubs so the wheel center bores may be larger than you need for your K20. I believe virtually all aftermarket wheels use a standard wheel opening that's large enough to fit any OEM axle from Dodge, Ford, or GM.

Re: 16.5 x 9.75 steel wheel find: Dodge? Fit my K20?
I'm using 2008'ish 17" Dodge chrome steel wheels on my truck. They fit fine except for the offset puts them too far inward. I had to use 1.5" spacers to keep the front 265/70-17's from rubbing.
I don't think you will have any trouble with hub diameter, but you may want to check offset before you commit. Paul Posted via Mobile Device
