Got a 71 swb....
to go with my 68 3/4 ton that I wanted to make a swb. The truck is a buddy bucket, factory air , Big block[I think ,it has the tall floor] and speed warning buzzer. Actually I started out with a 70 lwb at my salvage sale I buy from in Little Rock, got it home then decided it needed to be a short truck and found a 72 to get the suspension and then a 68 parts truck to get the bed and other stuff. After I started on the 70 one of my customers said I got this old GMC behind the house, if you will trade me a hard bed cover for the truck he had just bought from me and paint it to match my truck I will trade you my GMC. I said great I 'll try to get over there to pull it home he said why not just drive it. I got it and it had 69-70 style buckets but he said I got those others put up along with the tailgate that was pulled off when new. So, now I have a couple of trucks to make short and some time has opened up in the body shop so, next week it looks like I may be working on an old truck[YEA!!]
