droppin a c1500 cheep!
ok so i dont wanna buy a kit or any spend any money... was thinkin in the rear take out the overload spring for sure and maybe the next one up to
cost... -center bolts 5 bucks up front was thinkin bout takin one ring off the bottom of the front springs ... cost... $0 gotta love that number anyone done anythin like this befor ... im aiming for a 3/2 drop ... buy i really wont know till i get into it ... any advise?... and whats this gonna do to my alignment angles .. am i gonna right off some ball joints doin this? |

The overload in the rear is less than an inch thick. Even if you pull another leaf I'm not sure your going to get a full 2" drop. I would consider a shackle instead.
Up front you can take a full coil off, but its closer to a 2" drop than anything. I did one that way, but prefer to go with 1/2 a coil and drop spindles. BTW- What size tires are you running. If you go one full coil in front, tall tires are going to rub.

i could prob make a set of shackles for the rear ... what can i get at napa fer a bushing for it? any ideas? ... im still gonna ditch the overload i never haul anythin anyway... i want a set of drop spindles but there just not in the budget... last draft 5 bucks ...this draft hoping is under 20 ... tires i can deal with i still got a set of 235/75/15s ... but what do guys do... when they run them big 20s ...do i gotta roll my fender lip in?
