Made a few test and tune motor passes
Friday night test and tune motor passes. Film quality is not the best, as these were taken by a buddy with his phone.

Thanks for the kind words guys!
Marv, I normally shift it at 7000. Seems like that is where it likes to be shifted at.

Re: Made a few test and tune motor passes
That was motor only,, right Chris? I know nitrous cams act / sound totally different off the hose, but it sounded like it wasn't laboring at all. Time to go it with with a little giggle gas

Re: Made a few test and tune motor passes
Yeah Marv, those were motor-only passes. It seems to run alright n/a, even though the cam is a little more geared towards spray rather than n/a. I'll agree that it's past time to hose it!! I'm still contemplating a vacuum pump and how I'd mount it. I'd really like to have that done before the end of this season, but I'm not sure that will happen.

Re: Made a few test and tune motor passes
Thanks Kevin! I plan on going a few more times before the end of the season, and I should get a few spray passes in, as well. How close is yours to being ready?
Thanks again for the kind words!

Did you want to fly me down so I can take some HD footage in slow motion of some huge purge clouds and launches while you squeeze it! LOL

Re: Made a few test and tune motor passes
That sounds like a plan to me, Mike!! Better yet, we need to come up with a track somewhere inbetween all of us and meet up for some racin' and b.s. in' ! That sounds like an even better plan!!

Hell yes!
Have to plan it when everyone's hot rods are together and running. I would have to put the truck on a bottle to keep up with you all!

Re: Made a few test and tune motor passes
That might be the hard part; catching everyone with their trucks together. I can't speak for anyone else, but I think our trucks are pretty close, et-wise, motor to motor. I can run with or w/o the spray; doesn't matter to me. I just think it'd be cool to get all of us truck guys together and do some cruisin' and racin'!

Re: Made a few test and tune motor passes
Yes it would Shaun! I'm just not sure where would be a good inbetween track for all of us guys to meet up at. We're all kinda spread out all over the place!

Ok, just talked to my wife about this for next year say spring or early summer. It would be a go on my end for a fri tow out, race on sat and tow home on sun. The only thing that would kill me is we are trying to have a kid. So if Danielle becomes pregnant in the near future, well, the baby would be coming right about then.. I am going to start a new thread and see if we can get some traction, no pun intended there.

Re: Made a few test and tune motor passes
Hey nxtruck you guys have a nice track down there in Jackson, MO. ?
Since they closed down Gateway we (STL Area) don't have good drag race track around these parts. Rumors have it someone is thinking about opening up one in Wentzville but thats yet to be seen.

Re: Made a few test and tune motor passes
Actually, that track is in Sikeston, which is about 40 miles south of Jackson. Yeah, it'd be nice if Gateway would re-open, but with all of the tax issues, that may not happen.

Re: Made a few test and tune motor passes
Yeah Shaun, I know that this would probably be a logistics nightmare for some. I just think it would be really cool to be able to get together and do some racin' and b.s.in'! Hopefully the new thread gets more traction than I did last Fri. night!
BTW, I can certainly understand what you're saying about starting a family, and that is more important than anything else. I wish you two good luck!!

sure sounds good, especially on that phone vid. Bet it sounds awesome in person.
I hope to take mine for a little 1/4 mile spin once I get the new tranny in it.
