need opinions

Nearing completion on my 64 Choptop and I don't like my wheels...sooooooo I want the forum guys to help me out. Maybe a photoshop expert that can put some wheels in the truck.

Options are :
Paint wheels red or same as truck
new polished aluminums
new 5 spoke streeters, torque thrust or the like
your choices

Thanks in advance for the help.

Re: need opinions

I like ralleys, but they really dont compliment your truck, I also dont think I would paint them red either, some nice chrome TT would work I think.

Re: need opinions

Really like your truck. Aren't those 6 lug wheels you currently have or do my eyes deceive me?

When you say "new polished aluminum" are polished aluminum slots in your option list?

Re: need opinions

Don't let the 6 lugs limit your options, I bought new front disc brake rotors in 5 x 5 only cost 32.00 ea, had the rear axle hubs drilled out, added new 5x5 brake drums, only cost about $200.00. Kieth

Re: need opinions

I think the ralleys with police style caps would work. Eight inch on front and tens on the rear. Pick a color but definately not red. I'm kind of partial to the ralleys. Unless you want to be different like everybody else stay away from the Tork Thrusts.

Re: need opinions

i think PCing your rims black with just chrome ctr caps would work really well and be your cheapest option probably.

Your truck, chopped with that Gold, screams K-ustom though! A set of chrome steelies would fit the bill or even a set of supremes.

or how about these bad boys?

Yea the paint really dictates a chrome wheel doesn't it.
I love rallyes but they just don't seem to cut it.

Thanx

First off, DON'T HIT ME!!! Can you go into more depth on this "drilling of the axles" thing for me? I have found several small-bolt Chevy wheels that i could actually afford, but i have the big-bolt pattern 5. And which front rotors should i be looking for to go small chevy up front? Sorry for all the questions, but i have no idea how to do any of this and don't want to destroy my truck. Thanks.

Sam

Luc

first: put the chrome trim rings on the wheels---see how you like that...

2nd put the small hubcap on the wheel-----see if you like that

3..paint the wheels to match your truck then put the trim rings and caps on it, I think it would look great. Kieth

Or put a set of cragars on it like mine ha ha

17 x 9

http://kieth.smugmug.com/Trucks/66-G..._nS2QZT6-XL-LB

this is how my truck looked with rallyes......

http://kieth.smugmug.com/Trucks/66-G..._wLm4dMM-X2-LB

One thing about the rallyes with trim rings and caps, the silver does not show up very much. JMO
