window question

I am trying to determine where the window channel that goes in the top of the door stops. I realize where it stops on the front of the door but my question is where does it end at the back of the door.
Maybe better put does the channel extend right down into the steel channel inside the rear of the door?

are you refering to the channel that is "U" shaped and pops into the door to hold the glass ?
