Swapping a V-6 for a V-8... Help?

I am going to swap a 350 V-8 into a '65 1/2 ton 4x4.
It has the factory V-6 in it now.
I plan to keep the stock Manual Trans.
Assuming I will need change:
* Bellhousing (and possibly a trans x-member)
* Radiator (I may need a larger one or correct one for a V-8 350 ??? )
Here are my questions?
Will the V-8 mount onto the frame mount brackets if I change to the V-8 rubber motor mounts from a 67-68 chevy truck style rubber mount? Also, What else will I have to change?

I have numerous doner parts from various 67-72 parts trucks, but this is my first 4x4 effort.

Any and all help is appreciated...

Thanks...
Bryan

Re: Swapping a V-6 for a V-8... Help?

I put a 305 v6 in a 60 GMC K20 a while back, and the motor mounts in it were different. They were mounted at the front of the block as the small block stuff is more centered. The V6 housings were different from the small block housings as well, but do use the same mounts so that won't be a problem for you. If you havn't done it yet talk to
A.T. rockdriller and check out his build thread

He runs the big 6 in his K1000 GMC. Keep us updated on your build, I like to see these K series builds!
