Unknow wire
There is wire hanging on the driver side that I'm not sure where it goes. I think it is the temp gauge (its not working by the way) but cant seem to find the place where it connects. Anyone have photos where it connects?
Thanks |

Re: Unknow wire
I'm pretty sure that's your temp gauge wire hanging loose... and since your temp gauge isn't working it's a pretty sure bet! Look on the side of the engine block for a brass looking sensor thats threaded into the block. It should have a flat / blade type connector sticking off the end of it. Simply slide the connector on the end of that wire onto the blade and it'll probably solve both of your issues.

Re: Unknow wire
With its location and being green that is the temp sender wire.

Re: Unknow wire
On my 350 it's in a very similar spot to the BBC above. It's on the driver's side cylinder head.

Re: Unknow wire
Got it... I was thrown off but the way it connected... was looking for a flat /blade type connection where it should go. The way it connects by tucsonjwt picture is that it was a tip slide on connection not a flat/blade type connection.
Thanks again |
