High hump ?
At what point does a high hump become necessary? ( I don't know why some come with and others don't)
My cab is in Paint Jail, so I can't do a trial fit. I just got my engine and trans sitting into the chassis , and am just trying to think ahead. Thanks, Pat |

Re: High hump ?
I know a 4l80e wont fit under a low hump with the engine slid back to the 6cyl holes and 1" set back plates.

Re: High hump ?
I should have added that I have a 4L60E. To me it looks small enough, but thought I would ask

Re: High hump ?
What do you have? I have a 65 low hump and my 4.8/4l60e fit perfectly.

Re: High hump ?
Sorry, should have said it's a '71. Likely won't be a problem.

Re: High hump ?
should be good, i have a 6L80e in my 67 Sub, low hump, I had to "massage" it a little to fit. I`d swap for a high hump but the trucks interior is kinda done (inc.dynomat and painted) . Didn`t want swap out the carpet and start cutting out the old hump.

Re: High hump ?
Finally got the cab home from paint jail!
The engine and trans fit great. I modified the swap mounts to get the engine mount to clear the LS stock A/C comp. This pushed the engine back just a bit, but it looks like it was meant to be. The caddy pan also made this look like a direct bolt in deal. Thanks for the input guys. Pat |
