Wiring harness question
I'm removing the main harness from my 66 and there are the 2 main connectors that go through the firewall that appear to me to be the connector with the grommet all in one piece. Being 45 years old the rubber is hard but not brittle. Is there any trick to removing these connectors from the firewall without ruining them? The harness is stock and in pristine shape and I'd like to keep it that way.

Re: Wiring harness question
It's been a while, but I think the connector just pushes thru the gromment. Might need a little lube. Don't shoot me if I'm wrong. My memory is foggy.

Re: Wiring harness question
FYI, I have had better luck when reinstalling to go through the inside of the cab, use a little silicon grease and put the grommet on the connector. use a blade screwdriver with some electrical tape on the end to push it through if needed.
