New direction lsx build
Ok i have a 69 chevy 350 4 bolt main. where do i start on turning my motor into an ls based motor. I was going to turbo my truck but i figured i would tear it to fast. i heard i could turn my ol 350 into an ls based motor so i need some help starting. Thank you guy.

Buy an LS motor. No way to turn a Gen 1 into a Gen 3. The only parts that are the same are the rod and main bearings that's it.

The easier ones to find are from pickups but car engines are out there. You can phone wreckers in your area to find what is readily available. Trans options include newer types that are behind the engine you what to buy, but you can also use the older th350, th 400 etc. Harnesses can be bought new from people who will build what you need, or you can use the donor harness, and modify as needed, but this will also require getting the computer unlocked, and maybe flashed for engine mods.

I got a 6.0 mostly complete for less than 800$, fairly low miles
