My carport/craigs list find!

Saw it on Craigs list Friday night, about 2 hours after it was listed. I am off Thursday and Friday, so when I called I told him I wanted to look at it but probably couldn't get up there for 5 days. We talked for almost an hour, he said he had lots of people calling about it.

I live 2 hours away, and he had been craigslisted by many people over the years. I said i would call him Wednesday night and if it wasn't sold I would come by the next day. I thought about this truck pretty much all night. He had posted 22 pix that took my cable connection a few minutes to load. So there I was, 2 hours away, I have night blindness now, so no night driving distance on unfamiliar roads.

Got up a little early before going to work and we talked again, I told him I could come up afterwork and had the money and a trailer but if I bought it I wouldn't be able to pick it up until Thursday. He said fine, come by after work around 8:30 pm. He would stay up for me. Score! I know he had a lot of calls and people interested but he would wait for my to come by that night.

He isn't your usual craigslist seller, that's for sure. Looked at it, bought it a little under asking price.

Here are the pix, tell me what you think.
new windshield and gasket
new pressure plate, throw out bearing and clutch
new Kumo tires
new radiator
all new hoses
new heater core
hei conversion
new rear spring
a great shape extra 66 hood
new brakes and hoses
new reman carb
new plugs
lots of little details done
everything works
engine runs a little rough but has good compression, but running rich
Rust and pantina, perfect

all I am going to do for now is get it running well, change to disc front. I have a fresh 283 , maybe..........and I don't want to cut the floor board so I am going to check out an overdrive that a guy has had for 40 years and not sure what it came out of. He is 94! lol

So check out the pix and tell me what you think.

Thanks,
Steve
