Front Fender Breaces
Are the fender braces on the front fenders necessary?

Re: Front Fender Breaces
I think they at minimum keep the fenders more rigid keeping them from sagging and flopping aound. And doubt Chevy would have gone through the expense of using them if they weren't needed. Do you not have them or are they in the way?

Re: Front Fender Breaces
I had to repair some fatigue cracks on my fenders so figured that there was a good bit of movement that they were restricting over the years. But then these were work trucks and most did not have an easy life. Try it without them and if you've got movement may be able to find another way to brace them.
How close are the running boards to hitting the ground now at full drop? |

Re: Front Fender Breaces
Im not running any. I noticed some slight movement (shaking) of the front fenders down by the bumper. I plan to make some bracing under the front of the fenders to tie iunto the frame in order to stablize the fenders better. I too am on bags with 20"s and decent size tires, so I would not be able to use them either......
