Hard top leak fixes?

So we are in the rain season again in washington so the next nine months or so. So I took off my new soft top which btw seamed to be more water tight than the hard top. So any ways put the hard top back on has new seals, most of the side bed rail bolts wich i replaced all the mounting tabs and water deflectors above the wing windows. So my issue is that the hard top drips right above my knee and same on girfriends side above her knee. I have new carpet which I just put in and is getting damp from our amazing weather we have here. So question is has any one come up with a way to control the water flow from the windshield drip rail to not come in the truck?

Before I put the drip deflectors on, I run a bead of black RTV silicone along the inside edge big enough to get some squeeze-out. I've found that keeps most of the water on the outside.

Second this, I use rope caulk but I think it's pretty much the same product.

Re: Hard top leak fixes?

Can you guys post some pics of where your putting it? I tried last year to no avail. Every time I took a corner a stream of water would shoot out of the corner where the deflector is. Sorry for the thread jack, great weather we have up here in the PNW huh? Ever take your blazer to any shows?

Re: Hard top leak fixes?

I'll have to look through my pictures and see if I took any last year. I haven't put the top on yet this year, but I'll take pictures then if I don't find them. I'm still enjoying the warm afternoons, but the morning commute is a bit chilly (40 degrees at 70 mph).
