Which Wheels?
I am going to order my wheels ASAP and want some opinions. Please let me know what you think. And, if anyone could photoshop the Daytona wheels on my truck with a 5/7 drop I would be very thankful.
American Racing Daytonas in chrome Eagle 225s Polished. Both 20x8 and 20x10

Re: Which Wheels?
I like the Daytona wheel. What about this wheel. Eagle Alloy 227. I think it will stand out with the yellow paint better that chrome.

Re: Which Wheels?
I looked at those too in silver but I was worried about how they would look with the tan paint. Santa Fe Tan, not yellow! My wife tells me its yellow all the time, time for a repaint I guess!

Re: Which Wheels?
I have been looking at a lot of wheels lately for my dadd' 85. He wanted a classic looking wheel to match his factory paint and I really like the new look of the Cragar SS soft lip wheels. You can get them painted, polished or chrome. I also looked at the cheaper Japan version of Torque Thrust II's called REV wheels.

Re: Which Wheels?
I was originally going to go with the REV wheels you have posted. But they dont come in a 5.5" backspace. Only 4" last time I talked to someone. I think they will rub the bedside when lowered with only 4" backspace on a 20x10. I like the Cragars though.

Re: Which Wheels?
I emailed JDwheels who sells the Rev 100 regarding the backspacing and this was his reply: the 20x8 is a +0 or 4.5" bs, the 20x9.5 +0 or 5.25" bs or 5x5 +15mm or 5.75" bs

Re: Which Wheels?
Sounds like the rears would work with 5.75 bs but the fronts would rub the crap out of the fenders with 4.5 bs I would think. My 20x8 Coys with 5.25 bs rubbed the bolts that held the inner fender in pretty bad on turns.

Re: Which Wheels?
I really like the Cragar soft lip S/S wheel. Gunmetal or chrome would be nice.
The Daytona wheel would be ok if it didn't have the "hub spinner" looking thingy in the center. The TT2's and the 225's are a little overdone. I think the 227's though, belong more on a tuner car like a EVO or a Subaru than on a square.

Re: Which Wheels?
I actually love the Cragar S/S soft lip.. However, at $550 a piece.. If I could find them alittle cheaper I would definetly think of upgrading.

Re: Which Wheels?
Well, I went ahead and ordered the 225s. They might be "overdone" on a site with tens of thousands of members but I havent seen them on anything in my state. And think, if they are overdone its because they look sick!

Re: Which Wheels?
I think the REV wheels would look sweet on it if you could get the proper back spacing.

Re: Which Wheels?
Want those 225s to stand out from the rest? Paint the centers a darker gray color. I have yet to see anyone do it.
