A few questions for Y'all
Today I finally got some work done on the truck. I'm slowly crossing things off my list to completion. But, I need some help. I have two questions.
Are replacement fan switches sold? My fan doesn't come on with the control, but does when jumped from the battery. If they do sell them, would it even be worth it to replace or just buy a whole new unit? Mines pretty beat up anyway. I have an aftermarket tank in my truck, and the gas gauge doesn't work. The harness that plugs into the tank is pretty torn up and I'm guessing that's the culprit. I'm not sure if it's the original harness for it though. I'll snap some picks of it tomorrow, but for now I'll leave a link, and hope someone who also has one can give me some insight. Thanks guys |

Re: A few questions for Y'all
Yes LMC and others have them. Pretty easy to swap out.
As to the gas tank, really hard to help without knowing what you have or what's going on. First thing I would look for is a bad ground. |

Re: A few questions for Y'all
That looks more like the tail light harness, gas tank has only one wire to sending unit(usually beige in color from fuse panel) and one wire to ground.

Re: A few questions for Y'all
If it ends up being the sending unit you can call Northwest Metal Products and order a new one. I have that tank in my Blazer and had to replace the sending unit after about 10 years of use.
