What truck do you pass on your way to work/daily drive?

I recently got a new job and my way to work takes me past this 66 Custom Camper.

Post a picture or tell about a 60-66 that you pass in your daily drive. I don't want you to trespass or get in trouble for a picture though.

This is the only one I see routinely. It just sits outside piled full of debris until it eventually gets hauled off. Assuming the left rear tire isn’t flat at the time:

Re: What truck do you pass on your way to work/daily drive?

There are at least a dozen old trucks in back and side yards around our area. I just don't get to drive by most of them routinely. I developed the habit/passion of spotting old cars back in the late 50's when there were literally hundreds of cool cars sitting in yards and along side buildings. And many could be purchased for as little as $25-$60. With decades of clean up/green campaigns, there's almost nothing left by comparison. It's disappointing for a car guy old enough to remember how much cool stuff once sat around for the asking.

I see a bunch everyday. Here in kansas, every little rual town you go through has at least two 60-66 chevys setting somewhere. One local town has 6 setting in the same yard! But, I have yet to catch anyone home.

The dry country has always been a great time capsule for goodies....
I love some of the old routes and the farmers "Bone Yards"..

There's still some great stuff over on yer side of the hills, Mark.
I can imagine the Plains States are fairly loaded with relics' Too.

Re: What truck do you pass on your way to work/daily drive?

Next time I'm by in the day light (working night shift currently) I'll snap a shot of the 62 or 63 short step I pass every day. It used to sit in the field almost at the end of the property, now the owner noved it up next to his shop and painted it in satin black. Talked to him about it a few times, and it definitely isn't for sale.

Re: What truck do you pass on your way to work/daily drive?

I do not see any trucks on my way to work but around my shop there are a lot of old chevy, gmc trucks.......I go up and knock on doors but people will not answer, when they finally do they usualy say not for sale ! I watch and the trucks never move and no one works on them, I do not understand keeping something and allowing it to just rust away...............????
