Insulate the ceiling of your Burb?

hi guys,

I am putting a ceiling back in tomorrow in my Suburban.

what do you guys use for insulation of the ceiling of your Burbs?

for sound?
for heat?
for cold?

I don't think I've seen anyone do it myself I just put mine back in like it was you could try that sound deadening normally used on floor boards don't see why it wouldn't work but I don't see alot of sound coming from the roof as opposed to the floor

I did some sound deadener on the big flat sections of the roof. Then I used a thermal insulation material over that which I completely covered the flat sections of the roof. All of it came from second skin. Big thing sound deadener could do on the roof is stop some vibrations on the big flat sections. Completely covering the metal is unnecessary. It is said that 25% coverage is all that is necessary. I probably am somewhere around said 25%. Main reason I did the work tho, was for the heat insulation. Definitely helped during the hot summer here.

Body shops use to sell sheets of sound deading material ... it was like a stick sheet of tar paper ... You could just use Dyno matt floor insolation stuff .
