Do I change Speedo cable in my 65 ?

Hello all...,Got rid of the standard trans, have gone to a 2 speed powerglide (not here yet). Will the standard trans speedo cable and original hole for the cable in the floor/firewall work or replace cable and relocate hole?

Help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Do I change Speedo cable in my 65 ?

no need to change any holes/routing, etc - only thing needed to change IF ANYTHING is the length of cable. Budden mentions above, stock length should be good, so just pnp as suggested. If it makes funny noises once hooked up, probably too long or too short and any previously non-existent tight bends can cause the noises. But try your current first, then go from there.
